Other, more fulsome information, such as your account status, payment details, choice of services and preferences, and viewing of titles is created and maintained by the Service and through our third party providers (each with their own privacy policies) in the normal course of providing services to our members/subscribers and other users. This includes the tracking of titles viewed, time spent watching titles within the Service, and use of parental control features.
This information is collected and aggregated with the information of other users in order to gain an understanding of the viewing habits and preferences of our members/subscribers and to assist us with the selection and adjustment of future content and features for the Service. It is also collected to permit parents of children under eighteen (18) years of age to monitor their children’s usage of the Service through the Parents Room.
Aggregated information is also shared with select third party providers, including content providers, in order for APMC to provide feedback regarding the success of the titles and features offered within the Service. We also ask parent(s)/guardian(s) to carefully monitor the usage of the Service as part of a joint commitment to work with APMC to provide a safe viewing experience for children. If you wish to further understand how your child may use the Service, you may visit the Parents Room associated with your account, which provides access to information regarding the titles that your account has accessed through the Service, time spent using the Service, and other parent account information.
If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered personally identifiable information directly from a child under thirteen (13), we will attempt to notify such child’s parent or guardian and remove such information from our records.
If you believe that we might have collected personal information from your child without your consent, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you visit the Service, we may place a “cookie” on the hard drive of your computer to track your visit. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your hard drive through your web browser that can only be read by the website that placed the cookie on your hard drive. The cookie acts as an identification card and allows the Service to identify you and to record your passwords and preferences. The cookie allows us to track your visit to the Service so that we can better understand your use of the Service and customize and tailor it to better meet your needs. For example, our cookies help us to learn about the usage of the Service by tracking how many visitors we have, how often they visit various sections of the Service, and their geographic location.
Persistent cookies remain on the visitor’s computer after the browser has been closed. Session cookies exist only during a visitor’s online session and disappear from the visitor’s computer when they close the browser software.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies. However, on most web browsers you may change this setting to have your web browser either: (1) notify you prior to a website placing a cookie on your hard drive so that you can decide whether or not to accept the cookie; or (2) automatically prevent the placing of a cookie on your hard drive. It should be noted that if cookies are not accepted, you will not be able to access a number of web pages found on the website.
We also may use local shared objects, which are commonly referred to as “flash cookies.” As with browser cookies, opting out of local shared objects may interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.
APMC uses web beacons, which are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a web page or in an email message for the purpose of transferring data. You can disable the ability of web beacons to capture information by blocking cookies.
Persistent device identifiers are unique strings that are associated with the mobile device that you use to connect to the Service. APMC uses persistent device identifiers to identify and track your mobile device usage of the Service. Persistent device identifiers may be modified or disabled by sophisticated users.
Advertising identifiers are unique strings that are associated with your mobile device provided by the operating system. APMC uses advertising identifiers to attribute Kidoodle.TV app installations to previously served advertisements on third party sites. Advertising identifiers may be modified or disabled by users in the operating system settings.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, account verification and reasonable notice, by contacting us at email@example.com. In some circumstances, a change in or withdrawal of consent may severely limit or even prevent our ability to provide products or services to you. All communications with respect to such withdrawal or variation of consent should be in writing and addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
APMC created the Service for the purpose of providing a safe viewing experience for children under the age of thirteen (13). Accordingly, we are working hard to ensure that no “advertisements” (defined by APMC as paid for placement of any messages) are run within “Kid Profiles” found within the Service.
However, members should be aware that the Service contains titles that are inherently promotional in nature as they are produced by manufactures of related products. Titles also contain content production logos and credits as they appear in video files as typically found in broadcast video.
The Service may contain links to other websites that may be subject to less stringent privacy standards. We cannot assume any responsibility for the privacy practices, policies or actions of the third parties that operate these websites. APMC is not responsible for how such third parties collect, use or disclose your personal information. You should review the privacy policies of these websites before providing them with personal information.
It is important that the information contained in our records is both accurate and current. If your personal information happens to change during the course of our relationship, please keep us informed of such changes.
In some circumstances, we may not agree with your request to change your personal information and will instead append an alternative text to the record in question.
You can ask to see the personal information that we hold about you or log in to your account to view this information directly. If you want to review, verify or correct your personal information, please contact us at email@example.com.
When requesting access to your personal information, please note that we may request specific information from you to enable us to confirm your identity and right to access, as well as to search for and provide you with the personal information that we hold about you. If you require assistance in preparing your request, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your right to access the personal information that we hold about you is not absolute. There are instances where applicable law or regulatory requirements allow or require us to refuse to provide some or all of the personal information that we hold about you. In addition, the personal information may have been destroyed, erased or made anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices.
In the event that we cannot provide you with access to your personal information, we will endeavor to inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.
