Kidoodle.TV, A-1 Concrete Cutting and the Crist Family Come Together to work with Ronald McDonald House!
The Crist family, Kidoodle.TV and A-1 Concrete Cutting donate tablets, annual Kidoodle.TV subscriptions and a mountain of toys!
Calgary, AB – April 2, 2014 – It takes a community to support a community and that’s just what local business A-1 Concrete Cutting, Tom Crist and his family and the Kidoodle.TV team aim to do!
The group felt that by combining resources and working together with an amazing organization, Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta, it could accomplish more to help families and kids in need of respite.
Following up on a recent give-away of Kidoodle.TV gift subscriptions to celebrities attending a Pre-Academy Awards Gifting Suite (the Boom Boom Room) in Los Angeles, Kidoodle.TV gave matching 1 year gift subscriptions to children and families currently staying at Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta. The gift cards were specially designed by a little girl, Aidan, who stayed at the House with her family while she was recovering from a kidney transplant.
25 families received a celebrity endorsed Kidoodle.TV gift box, as well as a tablet donated by A-1 Concrete Cutting (Bob and Jaeme Skolly). The Crist family donated a large selection of toys to the very special Ronald McDonald House “Magic Room”, which is unique to Calgary.
“When families are staying at Ronald McDonald House they are under an incredible amount of emotional and financial stress,” says Larry Mathieson, CEO of Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta. “This donation brings smiles to their faces and provides a great distraction from everything they’re going through. We couldn’t be more grateful.”
Making a surprise appearance to spend time with some very ecstatic families were two Olympic athletes, Brad Spence and Denny Morrison!
Recently making a multi-million dollar personal investment in Kidoodle.TV’s parent company, A Parent Media Co. Inc. (“APMC”), with his charitable foundation the intended beneficiary, Crist and his family are working with Kidoodle.TV to find ways to reach out and better the lives of children and families, starting with this event.
Kidoodle.TV and the Crist family will continue to work closely over the coming months to identify and develop suitable opportunities for collaboration.
The Crist Family Foundation was formally established in March 2014. It is the intention of the Crist family to find ways to benefit causes near and dear to their hearts, including causes that benefit children. The family also intends to pool its resources to grow its foundation so that it can continue to undertake philanthropic activities for years to come.
