Easter is one of the biggest holidays in the world and it’s just around the corner. This time of year is perfect for getting together with family, enjoying spring weather, and celebrating with holiday fun. We’ve rounded up 5 fun Easter Activities to help you do just that!
1. Make Your Own Candy Cone
Mix things up this Easter. Instead of hunting for yummy chocolate eggs with a regular basket, make your very own Candy Cone. (It also makes a great favour on dinner plates if you fill it with chocolate eggs and gummies). Download our free template here and follow the video instructions below.
2. Send a Video Message to Friends and Family
Friends and family (especially family) love to see the joy on kids’ faces. Sending a short video message or even a video of the big Easter egg hunt is a great way to share that joy.
Too large to send, you say? We’ve got a solution for that! Simply use Kidoodle.TV’s Family Moments™ feature to upload and share your video with family and friends. (Better yet, record your video straight into your Kidoodle.TV account and skip the upload step). The best part is that that you can watch your videos right within Kidoodle.TV and across devices. To learn more about how to upload your video, check out this How To.
Remember to have some fun with your video. Grab bunny ears, cotton tails (attach with a safety pin) and face paint to paint little noses black. Practice making cute little bunny noises. Dressing up is such a cute way to get into the Easter bunny spirit (especially when Dad agrees to wear a cotton tail and black nose!).
3. Get Crafty
Did you know that March is National Craft Month? Working on simple crafts together and coloring with your children are great ways to work on fine motor skills, practice following instructions, and generate creativity. It’s also the perfect opportunity to bond with your children.
We’ve also added new episodes of Angels from the Attic “Create-Along” (Season 1, episodes 14 – 17) that focus on crafting.
Additionally, break out the crayons and print off these Easter activities from our friends at Angels from the Attic. Click on the image below for a printable .pdf.
4. Make Healthy Easter Snacks
Looking for an alternative to chocolate covered snacks? Try making these yummy snacks by The Prime Pursuit. Just because these snacks aren’t packed with refined sugars doesn’t mean they can’t be fun to make and eat.
5. Watch Easter Shows
Looking for more inspiration? We’ve got you covered with these Easter themed episodes on Kidoodle.TV (Note: Not all titles are available in every country). Start watching a few days early to get the household excited about the Easter bunny.
–Learn to Draw ABC, Season 1, Episode 28
–Counting with Paula, Season 1, Episode 13
–Learn to Draw Minis, Season 1, Episode 20
–Angels from the Attic, Season 1, Episode 3
<Newsflash!> We’ve also got a brand new episode of Tea Time with Tayla (Season 1, episode 62) featuring some very cute Easter bunny ears!
We hope you like these Easter Activities. Here’s wishing you and your family a fun-filled Hoppy Easter!
